2019 Nissan Altima Release Date

The Nissan Altima is a reliable car for all your day-to-day trips around East Providence, Cranston, and Pawtucket. Its efficient performance and comfortable ride have made it a trusted option for those looking for a midsize sedan. But there’s always room to evolve. So, in the lead up to the 2019 Nissan Altima release date this fall, Stateline Nissan put together this review to show you what kind of new ground the latest version is breaking.

2019 Nissan Altima Engine

The 2019 Altima has a choice between a powerful standard engine and revolutionary second option. The base engine is a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with direct injection. This helps it get up to 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. The second option for powering this midsize sedan is the first of its kind. After two decades of development, the 2019 Nissan Altima has made the world’s first production-ready 2.0L 4-cylinder Variable Compression Turbo (VC-Turbo) engine available. The VC-Turbo is designed to get both greater power and better efficiency. It delivers by generating up to 248 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Both engines work together with an Xtronic® transmission to help them get better performance. Steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters are available to give you the freedom to control the gear shifting without a clutch.

2019 Nissan Altima Drivetrain

The 2019 Nissan Altima is the first midsize sedan from Nissan to offer available all-wheel drive. This capable drivetrain is available with the standard 2.5L engine. It features an advanced torque split control feature that senses road conditions and redistributes torque to the wheels that need it. There’s also a brake limited slip differential and Hill Start Assist feature to help you keep traction when you’re on slippery or steep roads.

2019 Nissan Altima Infotainment

When you’re at the controls of the new Nissan Altima, you’ll have an intuitive user-friendly infotainment system at your command. The NissanConnect® system comes standard and brings together entertainment, convenience, and navigation features. You can control the 8-inch multi-touch color display through Siri Eyes Free/Google Assistant™ with Voice Recognition. For safe and convenient communication, its been equipped with Bluetooth® Hands-free Text Messaging Assistant. The NissanConnect® Navigation and Services system gets a few upgrades from previous models with real-time premium traffic updates, door-to-door navigation, and over-the-air-updates. There’s standard Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™, plus an available Bose® Premium Audio System with nine speakers and a digital amplifier for your entertainment. If you download the NissanConnect® Service app, you can control the locks and engine through your Apple Watch or Android Wear, too.
