It can be tricky to stay abreast of the latest developments.
One of the class leaders in this segment is the 2017 Nissan Altima, and drivers in Pawtucket, East Providence, and Cranston like to know what their options are before diving in to buy their new car. Learn about the various Nissan Altima trim levels and options for this model year, including tech and comfort features, and where you can take a test drive.
Nissan Altima Trim Levels
The 2017 Nissan Altima Trim Levels come in five main varieties: the Base, the S-level, the SR and SV levels and the top-end SL trim. The SR and SL trim also include sub-levels, which are distinguished by either a 2.5L four-cylinder engine or a 3.5L V6.
The base level Altima comes with 16-inch steel rims, keyless entry and push-button start, power accessories, six-way adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, 60/40 split-fold back seats, Bluetooth for both phone and audio, and a sound system delivering four speakers and a CD player. Also included at this level is the Nissan Easy-Fill Tire Alert system, which allows you to monitor and adjust tire air pressure as necessary.
The S-Level steps up the options, adding cruise control, automatic headlights, keyless ignition, voice commands via Siri Eyes Free, and a rearview camera. It also kicks up the sound system to add a 5-inch display screen, a USB port, and smartphone app integration via NissanConnect.
SR Trim Level
At the SR trim level you get larger 18-inch alloy rims, fog lights, daytime running lights, sport suspension and sport seats, paddle sifters, and a power adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support. The sporty look is accented by a rear spoiler.
The SV level builds on the S-level and gives you 17-inch alloy wheels, a power-driver seat, remote start, automatic dual-zone climate control, satellite radio tuner, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts.
The top-of-the-line SL trim level adds to the SV a heated steering wheel and front seats, rear air vents, leather upholstery, a power adjust front passenger seat, dual adjustable headrests in the front, ambient lighting inside, and upgraded nine-speaker Bose ausio system.
Going to the 3.5 SL in addition to the bigger engine, gives you paddle shifters, LED headlights, parking sensors, bigger touchscreen interface at 7 inches, voice commands, and Google connected navigation system.
Many of the above features can be added individually to lower levels as options, and extra features include a sunroof, auto-dim and heated mirrors, adaptive cruise control, enhanced telematics systems, upgraded NissanConnect features, and forward collision warning, and mitigation features.
