East Providence’s Best Italian Restaurants

Italian food is one of the most popular types of food in America and for good reason. The country of Italy has blessed us with delicious pastas, cured and perfectly cooked meats, and a variety of masterfully made sauces.

Thankfully, you can get your fix of all these Italian delicacies at East Providence’s best Italian restaurants. Read ahead to learn more about what Al Forno, Camille’s, and Rosalina have in store for you the next time you’re craving Italian food!

Al Forno

When chef-owners Johanne Killeen and George Germon opened Al Forno, they dedicated themselves to serving up delicious renditions of Italian classics using the freshest ingredients from New England’s farms and waters.

When you stop into Al Forno for an Italian meal, you’ll have your pick of a variety of dishes. Kick things off with a Mushroom Duxelles pizza—topped with fresh herbs, two cheeses, extra virgin olive oil, and sliced mushrooms—for the table. Follow up with a plate of baked pasta, such as fedelini with rib-eye meatballs.

Camille’s

For more than 100 years, Camille’s has been proud to offer residents of Providence the full Italian experience with classic Italian plates, a variety of outstanding wine, and an elegant atmosphere perfect for any special occasion.

Executive Chef Michael Pennacchia has created an extensive menu of masterfully plated dishes. Choose from seafood dishes, such as Scallops Giovanni or jumbo gulf shrimp scampi; chicken dishes, like chicken parmesan; or even gluten-free options, like Risotto Primavera. Don’t forget to grab a glass of wine to wash it down.

Rosalina

Rosalina goes above and beyond to provide customers with tasty Italian dishes with a twist made from locally sourced products.  Some of their uniquely delicious meals include grilled swordfish, as well as spaghetti with roasted butternut squash, cinnamon, nutmeg, pecorino Romano, and sage with a light cream sauce.

In addition to sourcing their food from local vendors, they’re proud to use a product that’s family-made. Many of Rosalina’s dishes feature extra-virgin olive oil that’s made right on their family-owned olive grove in Kalamata, Greece.
