The Nissan Rogue Sport is slated to hit the streets of Pawtucket, East Providence, and Cranston in spring 2017, and Stateline Nissan can’t wait for you to experience its bold performance and sleek design. If you’re as excited for the 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport’s debut as we are, check out our preview of its features and design below.
2017 Nissan Rogue Sport—Dimensions & Interior
Decreasing its length and wheelbase by 12.1 and 2.3 inches respectively, according to Consumer Reports, the Nissan Rogue Sport is a tighter, more streamlined version of its older sibling, the 2017 Nissan Rogue. The result is an athletic design and nimble performance competitive with subcompacts like the Honda HR-V and Hyundai Tucson.
Despite its smaller size, the Nissan Rogue Sport fits five passengers comfortably. It also provides up to 61.1 cubic feet of cargo space and nifty Divide-N-Hide® reversible trunk-floor panels. Perfect for storing valuables, luggage, or everyday essentials, the Rogue Sport’s Divide-N-Hide® system offers several configurations to accommodate your gear.
2017 Nissan Rogue Sport Technology
With everyone glued to their smartphones these days, the Nissan Rogue Sport provides tons of innovative technology features to keep you connected and reduce distractions from driving.
One of these options includes NissanConnectSM with Navigation and Online Search with GoogleTM. Complete with mobile app integration, turn-by-turn directions, voice command, music streaming, and more, NissanConnectSM brings the digital world to the tips of your fingers.
The Nissan Rogue Sport also comes with Siri® Eyes Free. If you have a Siri-equipped iPhone®, you can use Siri® eyes free to send text messages, update your calendar, make and receive phone calls, and more.
Advanced Safety & Passenger Protection
To give you peace of mind, the 2017 Nissan Rogue Sport offers several advanced safety features to help keep danger at arm’s length, including intelligent forward emergency braking with pedestrian detection.
If a collision with the vehicle in front of you is imminent, the Nissan Rogue Sport will deploy the brakes to prevent the accident from happening—or at least reduce its impact. Other advanced driver assistance features include blind-spot warning and lane-departure warning.
Performance of the Nissan Rogue Sport
The Nissan Rogue Sport offers three trims—S, SV, and SL—and each deliver a smooth yet energetic ride great for commuting, running errands, or driving around town.
Pop up the hood of a 2017 Rogue Sport, and you’ll find a 2.0L four-cylinder engine that makes 141 horsepower. The Sport comes with a smaller engine than the Nissan Rogue’s 2.5L, but is mated to the same Xtronic® two-speed continuously variable transmission for smooth shifts and efficient acceleration.
